Menstrual cycle
The roughly monthly hormonal cycle that prepares the body for a possible pregnancy, counted from day 1 of one period to the day before the next.
The menstrual cycle is the recurring sequence of hormonal and physical changes that the reproductive system goes through each month. It is counted from the first day of full bleeding (day 1) to the day before the next period.
